Written Projetc: Pan's Labirynth

Pan's Labyrinth is a 2006 Mexican dark fantasy film written and directed by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. It was produced and distributed by the Mexican film company Esperanto Films.

Pan's Labyrinth takes place in Spain in 1944, five years after the Spanish Civil War. The narrative of the film interweaves this real world with a fantasy world centered around an overgrown abandoned labyrinth and a mysterious faun creature, with which the main character, Ofelia, interacts. Ofelia's stepfather, the Captain Vidal, hunts the Spanish Maquis who fight against the Fascist reign in the region, while Ofelia's pregnant mother grows increasingly ill. Ofelia meets several strange and magical creatures who become central to her story, leading her through the trials of the old labyrinth garden. The film employs make-up, animatronics and CGI effects to bring life to its creatures.

No matter that some of the scenes may become a little cruel to some people; I find the movie very interesting. In some parts, it’s even a little sad. A big part of the movie is the soundtrack. N this movie, the whole music make me always feel kind of goosebumps. It was probably the violins or the wind instruments that where played during the film, butthe music felt kind of magical.
The acting was very impressive. My favorite was The Captain since he isreally evil and cruel. But if you think carefully, at the end of the day, he was a man who was doing his work and who was going to thethe best at it.

One of my favorite partsof the movie, is when Ofelia meets the Faun and he describes himself.
